Above all else, you want to keep your personal life private and secure. There are a few precautions you can take to maintain your privacy as you work at home. You might want to consider getting a private mailbox for your work at home job. You can rent a post office box or a mailbox from a shipping company. You should be able to find mailboxes for rent by looking in the yellow pages. The mailboxes are relatively inexpensive to rent and should provide some protection by having separate professional address. Along the same line, you might consider a having a different phone number for your work at home job. Ask the phone company not to publish your home address with your work at home phone number. You don’t want unexpected visitors showing up at your doorstep because they think your home is a business. Setting up a separate email account is a good idea for your work at home job.
